SAMUEL ENG & THE OMAKASE PROJECT
Samuel Eng began cooking out of sustenance and cravings after coming to Australia. His skills, picked up largely through observations of how his mom & other chefs cooked, soon garnered him a little base of fans. He was sponsored for an apprenticeship in William Angliss and from there went on to work in some of Melbourne's best kitchens, including the luminous "Dinner by Heston Blumenthal". Sam's passion include not just bringing people together through food but helping to train and nurture younger aspiring chefs.
This collaboration will launch 'The Omakase Project' as a unique platform to give local chefs support for the stories or visions that they want to bring out on a plate.
